As Administrative Coordinator of Arts in Education for Eastern Suffolk BOCES, my office contracts for a large percentage of the Arts in Education performances, workshops, residencies and field study for schools in both Eastern and Western Suffolk. We advocate for the arts -- both sequential and arts integration locally and in Albany. Our office also contracts non-arts performances, workshops, residencies, etc. through our Exploratory Enrichment program. www.esboces.org/AIE

In addition to sitting on several local, regional, state and national boards for the arts and museum education, I am the President of the Board of the NYS Alliance for Arts Education which works with the Kennedy Center and other arts education organizations to advocate for the arts with NYSED and the State Legislature. We are a partner with VSAarts which offers programs and professional development for students with special needs. www.nysaae.org

Both the BOCES program and NYSAAE offer professional development for arts educators and classroom teachers.

Thank you. And do you get 5 days off now (including the weekend)? We just get Friday off. boo hoo.
My Mom and I traditionally made Hamantashen and sent it all over the country to relatives. I do it, actually, for myself...to remember this time my mom and I shared.
