- Tell our School Leadership 2.0 community a little bit about yourself. Feel free to post your email address and website. Also feel free to list your areas of interest. This will help other members dialogue with you.
- I will be completing my undergraduate studies at the University of Delaware in May of 2012 and will be certified in New York State to teach Health and Physical Education at the K-12 grade levels.
Over the past several years I have completed my sophomore and junior field experiences at the elementary, junior high school, and high school levels. While creating lesson plans, I have concentrated not only on physical development, but also on building social skills, cognitive growth, and cultivating an emotionally safe environment in which students can thrive. One of my strengths is the ability to incorporate multiple disciplines such as math, English, music, social studies and art into my lessons. I am able to build solid relationships with my students, which enables me to effectively manage challenging behavior situations within my classroom.
Although my resume makes mention of my teaching experience, certifications and leaderships skills, it does not fully capture my willingness to extend myself, volunteer, and become involved in all facets of school life. As an avid member of the Health and Physical Education Majors Club I have demonstrated my leadership skills and a determined work ethic. My professors have noticed this dedication and honored me with several education scholarship nominations as well as academic honor societies. I look forward to meeting with you and illustrating my strengths as a potential candidate for a position as a health and physical education teacher.
