I was a junior high school science teacher from 1973-1983. In 1983 I left to coordinate computer services for the Nassau BOCES Special Education division. In 1985 I was Director of Office Automation Services at Suffolk BOCES 2 and in 1986 I went to work in the business office at Connetquot Schools. I formed a company in 1988 that provided special education management software to schools in 3 states and in 2000 was acquired by a national company. That software is successfully used in 12 states and in a number of very large urban school districts.
I left that job recently and am interested in using my education and business skills to work in educational administration and hopefully make a difference.
