Professional Development for Teachers
Dear Teacher:
Interested in expanding your subject area knowledge, exploring new subject material or adding to your teaching tool kit? Look no further, Molloy College has what you are looking for. At Molloy you will be able to enroll in courses to build your knowledge in various content areas and to improve your instructional skills.
Molloy College is an approved Sponsor of Continuing Teacher and Leader Education (CTLE) by the New York State Education Department (NYSED), sponsor number 3216.

Molloy College offers professional development graduate credit courses (tuition is offered at the reduced rate of $900 per course for teachers who already hold a Master's degree) to meet CTLE requirements in TESOL (www.molloy.edu/tesol) throughout the year, as well as graduate credit courses during the summer through the Summer Institutes for Teachers (www.molloy.edu/ce/summer). Conferences (www.molloy.edu/ce/education) and Online Teacher Professional Development non-degree courses are also offered throughout the year that will meet CTLE requirements.
Each semester-hour of credit taken equals 15 clock hours of CTLE credit. Therefore, a 3-credit graduate course equals 45 hours of CTLE credit. CTLE hours for all non-credit, non-degree courses and conferences are computed as one CTLE credit hour per 60 minutes of instruction (60 minute minimum). Click here for further information on the new CTLE requirements.

Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) Certification: Individual Pathway Program
The Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) Certification: Individual Pathway program is designed for teachers who hold a valid New York State Teaching Certificate and wish to earn TESOL Certification without having to earn an additional degree.
